Jim Dieso - Imprint® Artist

since graduating with a minor in art from the new york state university at plattsburgh in 1976, my camera has provided the genesis for my artistic pursuits for almost 40 years. during this time i have followed a passion to develop a unique voice for his images beyond photography. in 1984, i began to transform my photographs with the mark of the emerging tools of digital image making and fine art printmaking. the art of the imprint© is the manifestation of a long desire to "see differently" through the lens of my camera. my final prints are infused and formed with the revolutionary technologies that have shaped my professional and creative life since my late twenties. i find my inspiration in the worlds of thoroughbred horse racing, the american southwest and in the intriguing lines, forms and colors of life in rural farmlands and urban centers worldwide.
