Jipe Moyo Centre

jipe moyo centre is a child protection organization that works to prevent child rights. it was born more than 20 years ago in musoma, tanzania, a village on lake victoria where poverty reaches important levels. the center is under management of the immaculate heart sisters of africa, and it was born due to the disadvantages of the region, where children's rights are crushed and kids are raped on a daily basis. the name “jipe moyo” therefore indicates an encouragement, an invitation not to give up despite the serious situation. currently it takes care of 115 children between the age of 2 and 20, that come from desperate situations: some were abandoned on the street when they were a few months old and were welcomed into jipe moyo's new family, some other girls were victims of genital mutilation and early marriages, others escaped from abuses, mistreatments, sexual exploitations and child labor. the center provides food, clothing, school supplies, health care, and psychological assistan
