parental alienation resources, education and consulting addressing parental alienation (pa) and parental alienation syndrome (pas). based out of central florida, the primary focus of my work in the last twenty or so years is that of high conflict custody disputes within the context of divorce where parental alienation appears to be present. i work with families who are in the process of divorce as well as post divorce families. i work with parents, grandparents, lawyers and other professionals who may be involved in the case. what makes parental alienation divorces different? a few key points were present in these "other" divorces that set them apart from the majority of divorce cases. the legal proceedings were lengthy, numerous and unsuccessful in creating solutions both parties would adhere to, especially custody and visitation arrangements. accusations and conflict increased in both quantity and severity as the divorce proceeded through the courts. active participation by the child
