Jobkatif

jobkatif provides rehabilitative employment services and emotional support to the displaced jewish families from gaza (known as gush katif) and northern samaria. founded immediately after the israeli disengagement in august 2005, jobkatif has established over 160 small to medium sized businesses, has placed over 1600 individuals in jobs, and has sent hundreds to professional retraining courses. the employment models are unique in nature, and emphasize the motivational counseling needed to deal with the long-term implications of job seekers who lost their homes and jobs at the peak of their careers. the organization is officially recognized by the prime minister's office of the state of israel as being the only entity dealing with the employment problems of the people of gush katif and northern samaria. jobkatif was founded by rav yosef tzvi rimon of alon shvut, israel.
