John Carter Drummer

as a drum coach i teach private drum lessons in the wake forest and north raleigh area. i am also a freelance musician available for session work. for me music is more than well-developed sound waves. music is a tool in the hands of creative beings. as creative beings we create music with melodies and moments that speak to the soul. it seems that the entire breadth of the human experience can be found in a well-crafted song by a gifted musician. as a drummer seeking to create music with this type of creative energy i always play with time & taste. playing with time & taste allows those who i teach and work with to excel at their craft. whether coaching drum students, working with local school music programs, playing a live show, collaborating on a project, or leading drum workshops it is my goal to bring to that moment my skill of playing with time & taste.
