in 1999, john marks & associates, an education and human resources agency, was formed specialising in the sourcing of quality staff (leaders, teachers and non-teachers) for primary and secondary independent, catholic and government schools across the country. believing schools needed a better way of accessing staff who displayed a passion for the holistic growth of each student, jma has focused on candidates who are passionate about education and who make a constructive difference. in addition to measuring a candidate’s curriculum and pedagogical knowledge, we focus on the candidate’s ability to build connections and trust, to genuinely engage and challenge students in the learning space, and to be collaborative team players. our rigorous interview process probes a candidate’s desire to effectively engage young people, to be ‘interested’ and ‘interesting, to take students on a positive learning journey, and to seek feedback on their practice. in addition to our recruitment arm, we fac
