John B. Vinturella, ph.d.

john b. vinturella owned and ran a wholesale distribution business for 20 years, selling it in 1998. his primary consulting interest is small business management. he is the author of 8 steps to starting a business and the entrepreneur’s fieldbook (prentice hall) and a co-author of raising entrepreneurial capital (elsevier), now in its second edition. john holds a ph.d. from tulane university (1968, chemical engineering), a master’s degree from boston university (1974, communication research), and an mba from the university of new orleans (2005). he maintains web sites on entrepreneurship (www.jbv.com), his latest book (www.jbv.com/8steps), and a travel agency (myhorizontravels.com).
