my reporting and writing on economics, personal finance, career strategies, parenting, families, books, feminism, and politics has been published in numerous print and on-line publications, including the new york times, the wall street journal, the washington post, salon.com, slate's the big money, conde nast's portfolio, alternet.org and the los angeles times, where i wrote and edited the popular “money makeover” feature. my essays have been published in modern love: 50 true and extraordinary tales of desire, deceit and devotion, the maternal is political: women writers at the intersection of social and political change as well as in an upcoming anthology on reality television being published by harper's in 2010.
