Journeyman Marketing

from a young age i have loved spending time at airports. while i can’t claim to have travelled as much as some, and certainly am too disorganised to hold a million frequent flyer points (or even fifty), every journey has taught me about people and their behaviour - which in essence, is what marketing is all about. who are you marketing to, and why should they care? as i grew to learn that marketing was my field, travel and airports grew in their meaning to become a source of insight - from simple lessons in retail product promotion to multi sensory customer experiences to entertain and engage impatient travellers while they pass the time. similar objectives of engagement or attention cloaked in cultural nuances and styling. naturally, travel extends beyond the skies and being on the road has proven to be the place where i have found peace to read and collect my thoughts and write my observations. this journal is a ledger of those thoughts, peppered with marketing specialisations an
