Juamii
due to a research field trip in 2015 and the lack of energy supply we faced in east africa - we decided to make a difference. our goal is to promote an autarkic and self-sustaining ecosystem culture for non-state funded schools in east-africa. therefore, we partnered up with schools in nairobi in a participatory process and exactly analyzed their needs and circumstances. the fundament and success for our projects is in the use of sustainable and modern solar and environmental technologies such as photovoltaic off-grid systems and battery storage facilities. juamii is a combination of two swahili words, namely: jua (the sun) and jamii (the society) we are following our strategy out of pure societal purposes and social entrepreneurship and do not pursue profitable scheming.
