Junior Game Crafters

junior game crafters is a voluntary group set up to help introduce kids, from all social and economic backgrounds, to game development as a form of artistic expression. aimed primarily at children between the ages of 8 and 14, we want to teach them that games can be used to create more than just feelings of frustration and exhilaration. games and interactive stories are fast becoming the bedrock of a modern child's form of personal expression and we want to bring this passion to all children regardless of economic standing. supported and hosted by huntstown community and family centre, we want to expand our reach into the local community and bring together children, in an effort to expand both their social and computer skills. set to run for a week at a time, gamelab's will bring together 15 of the most enthusiastic and eager children from the local community and teach them the basic skills needed to make their own games. all of this is provided completely for free, as we feel a child
