catalysts for change the junior league of akron is the local chapter of the association of junior leagues international, inc. (ajli), a non-profit organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities. all through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. since our founding in 1926, the junior league of akron has grown to represent nearly 30 communities throughout the greater akron area. our members include business leaders, entrepreneurs, professional women and stay-at-home moms who are committed to serving our community. in fact, junior league of akron members have become catalysts for change— raising funds, chairing events, founding organizations and delivering critical assistance to local people in need.
