the heart the purpose of the juniper tree experience is to provide a self-sustaining and scalable venue for pastoral couples to experience sabbatical in order to rest and recuperate. at juniper tree we envision pastoral couples going back home with renewed physical, emotional and mental strength, a healthier marriage and fresh spiritual vision for their congregation. upon arrival, pastoral couples can expect a warm greeting, lush get-away space, gift basket, full kitchen, comfy bed, library of relevant books, and loose itinerary. during their stay there will be opportunities for repose, leisure, curriculum for renewal, moments to connect with the host pastor, and scheduled time with a professional counselor. pastoral couples need the kind of renewal and rest that a vacation can't meet. because of ministry demands, church needs and finances, many pastors don't find a rhythm of practicing weekly sabbath much less a sabbatical. the goal of the juniper tree experience is to provide a uni
