in 2007, as i was planning my retirement of 30 years of law enforcement, i learned i had breast cancer. but i would not let cancer take control of my life, because i had things to do! i retired as planned from the dane county sheriff's office. i have made it my mission to help fight this fight so others don't have to go through it, or worse, we lose another loved one to this terrible disease. justice for a cure is endorsed by the bssa - badger state sheriff's association, nawlee - national association of women law enforcement executives, and wppa - wisconsin professional police association
