justice initiative centre (jic) is a non-profit making, independent and non-governmental organisation devoted to the cause of enhancing the pursuit for justice and the respect for fundamental human rights. it undertakes to provide pro bono legal services and assistance to victims of ineffective justice systems and human rights violations. it seeks to foster inclusive participation towards effective peace building processes, promotes advanced research initiatives with the purpose of educating and creating awareness on key issues affecting the society. jic is dedicated to developing strategic programs that encourages a culture of transparency, respect for human rights and the rule of law, promotion and protection of democratic principles in africa. we achieve this through education and skills training, strategic litigation, creative activism, advocacy programming, research and development.
