there are 4 key elements of "hip hop", which can be summarised as break dancing, street-style art, mc-ing, and dj-ing (e.g. making beats, beatboxing, rapping, singing, etc). we aim to utilise these and related forms of dance, art, music, public speaking and public presentation in order to provide positive and authentic experiences to young people as a foundation for them to: ■make sound decisions; ■become more health aware; ■contribute to community cohesion; and ■gain direction towards securing a better future. for the future we aim to establish a multi-cultural hip hop community, successful in providing a positive platform for young people to further develop into constructive members of society. by utilising the elements of hiphop we have seen and believe we can overcome a huge range of anti-social behaviours by indirectly and positively educating them in the benefits of: ■exercise & fitness ■healthy eating ■community values ■a life free of binge drinking, smoking, violence & vandalis
