paulose started his career as a social worker teaching art in remote villages in tamil nadu, india. paulose kollamparambil joseph was a first generation college graduate whose 'malayalee' parents settled in the blue mountains of southern india (the nilgiris); the second youngest among 7 siblings, he had a unique personality right from a very young age; getting top grades in school and impressing everyone with his artistic abilities. his talent got noticed by the local catholic church which sponsored his high school and college. "teaching art has been the most satisfying experience for me" says poulose k joseph, a multifaceted visual artist and illustrator. despite his very humble origin, he designed emblems for various institutions even while at high school. he graduated with a diploma in fine arts (a 5 year practical training program) from government college of fine arts, chennai, india.
