Kandandu Project

the kandandu project was born from the wish to create a community between different stakeholders from the extractive and transforming industry in africa, europe and latin america. for this reason, our partners are namely small and large companies, national associations, networks and universities from several different countries. the choice of the name "kandandu" that in kimbundu means a hug, reflects this desire to join, through common language and shared history, the extractive and transforming industry in an embrace. we intend to form bridges and foster balanced partnerships that will benefit all parties involved, contribute to more and better r&d partnerships and disseminate our partners’ best practices so that these experiences may inspire solutions in other countries taking always into account the country’s specificity. due to its relevance, the project was recognized in 2014 by the high level steering group of the eip as a raw materials commitment. let yourself be embrace
