kankama association incorporated provides a day service to adults with an intellectual disability across the mornington peninsula. to access services provided by kankama you need to be aged between 18 and 60 and be on the disability support register, or be eligible to receive client attached funding via the department of human services. kankama is committed to a new delivery of service as we transition to self-directed approaches. these changes are facilitating more choice, and increasing the variety of opportunities for our service users to participate in a more inclusive community. our new flexible delivery of service means that we are better able to coordinate the activities that are directed by an individual. in consultation with primary caregivers, an individual's needs, wants, goals and interests are indentified and a support plan is developed. this structure allows our support to be consistent but flexible providing a more responsive service that promotes the opportunity for cha
