i’m a photojournalist and documentary photographer based in northern denmark. i divide my time between denmark and any spot on the globe that catches my interest. in recent years i have lost my heart to central america and guatemala in particular. in my documentary work my primary interest is sustainability; be it social, economical, political or environmental. i like to take on a critical perspective while keeping an open mind. this has taught me how hunting in northern denmark can benefit nature and the animals and how sometimes fair trade labels can fail to live up to our illusions. i believe research, diplomacy and social knowledge are the foundations for conveying the underlying story and it is important for me that the people i portray have their voices heard.
