okagama is a team of three young and enthusiastic people with different but connected backgrounds in civil engineering and architecture. their focus lies in the context of global challenges such as climate change, where the construction industry will have to deal with this challenge in the coming years. and alternatives to traditional building systems and design habits are needed. their thesis investigates novel architectural approaches with a special interest in shape-changing structures and how a transformation can combine the advantages of different states in order to increase efficiency.
