we are building a school. the concept of owlwood is built on a great deal of research about what we can do to give our children the best start in life that leads them to a fulfilling career that makes the most of their potential. at owlwood we do not believe standardised testing from 6 years old helps our children. we believe there is a different way to help them connect with the world around them. much of our inspiration comes from the past; focussing on values first allowing them to take risks and learn from mistakes putting the community at the heart of learning we have also researched the best learning techniques from all over the world borrowing what works from every corner of our planet. we plan to build a tribe. resilient, kind and resourceful human beings that solve problems creatively, adapt to change and take with them a life long love of learning. the school will be run as a social enterprise. we need to be independent to have the freedom not to test children in their early
