#oxygenfortanzania is a volunteer-run initiative to deliver lifesaving medical oxygen to those who need it the most. access to oxygen can be the difference between life and death for patients with severe covid-19. it is also a critical treatment for children with pneumonia, which remains the leading infectious killer of children under 5 years in most developing countries. during the covid-19 third wave, tanzania faced a huge shortage of medical canister/cylinders and oxygen supplies, financially plants could no longer extend credit limit to health facilities whilst meeting respective operational coast. at this infant stage, we have so far raised usd 179,000 thanks to individual contributors, various groups, segal family foundation and anonymous donors (that choose to remain private). the entire fund is utilized directly on the impact with zero administration fees thanks to coordination by innovation hub255 and volunteers from kumekucha.club
