welcome to ozark threads! the idea of ozark threads developed in july of 2015. we envisioned a company that would supply high quality clothing geared towards outdoor enthusiasts – but we didn’t want to stop there. with a passion for the environment, we wanted to use ozark threads to protect and give back to the environment. after researching multiple charities and today’s environmental issues, we decided on the #teeforatree campaign. through the nature conservancy, we will be planting a shortleaf pine tree in the ozark mountains for each t-shirt sold. the increasing threat of deforestation in recent years led us to this decision. shortleaf pine forests once formed open woodlands that were common throughout the southern and mid-atlantic united states. the shortleaf pine was historically important in the timber industry but has lost more than half its acreage in the past 30 years due to changes in timber management and pests. our goal is to help strengthen these forests, along with fores
