Quorum Ballet

founded in 2005 by its artistic director, choreographer and dancer daniel cardoso, quorum ballet is a contemporary repertoire dance company with a high level of demand and quality in their performances. the portuguese government currently subsidizes the company. in october 2007, in partnership with the non-profit organization aqk quorum cultural association and town hall of amadora, the quorum academy opens in theater recreios da amadora, with classes for children, youth and adults. the company has produced several pieces written by daniel cardoso and collaborated with the following guest choreographers: itzik galili, donald byrd, thaddeus davis, jonathan hollander, iolanda rodrigues, rita galo, gonçalo lobato, pedro dias, antónio cabrita, inês godinho, filipe narciso, freddie moore, barbara griggi among others. quorum ballet has presented its work in several cities throughout portugal including some of the most prestigious national theatres. internationally, the company has extensivel
