the roots of jonker-makis robotics (jmr) lie in the cognitive robotics group of professor pieter jonker of the tu delft robotics institute. our technological heritage runs from industrial robots, to robot football, walking robots, butlers robots to robot stroller lea for frail elderly. the latter was developed by the spin-out company robot care systems run by maja rudinac and martin roos. this company evolved to jonker-makis robotics. also derived from our technology we built up indoor security robots sam and outdoor version sam-xl, upon which we moved to automated driving with pods (wepods) and midi busses (i-at mission). for years our main investor was the maki family in japan. our multi-disciplinary team consists of industrial design, mechanical, electrical, embedded software, computer vision and ai engineers. jmr is proud of the knowledge and experience it has in house. we have numerous phd graduates and specialists in robotics, artificial intelligence and adjoining professional
