our vision is an africa where government policies and development strategies are evidence-based, emancipatory, implementable, and sustainable. our mission is to build social research capacity and development-based knowledge in africa, underwritten by the value of social justice, to help raise the quality of life of ordinary africans. our values are human dignity, equality, collaboration and justice. we believe that no person should be treated as lesser than the next; that every person has the right to a decent life and a meaningful existence. our services are designed and delivered by a team of social scientists and development experts who have researched and published extensively on policy and development matters focused on southern africa, north africa, the african continent and the caribbean for over two decades.
