our mission is to assist people with spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities to help them achieve independence, self-reliance and to promote full community awareness and participation. we are able to successfully do this by providing peer support, community advocacy, as well as providing resources to both our members and the community. it is important that during times of difficulty that we lean on other individuals for support. here at spinal cord injury pei we feel that it is important to have someone who ‘gets it’. that is why we offer a connection to volunteers who have been there and can provide you with the support, inclusion, as well as resources to help you during these difficult times. in an effort to make our communities more inclusive and accessible, we have started a free accessibility auditing service for businesses and venues to assess and improve existing accessibility barriers.
