americorps vista (volunteers in service to america) members bring passion and perseverance where the need is greatest: to organizations that help eradicate poverty. americorps vista members serve as a catalyst for change, living and working alongside community members to meet our nation’s most pressing challenges and advance local solutions. the south cumberland plateau vista project is a collaboration between americorps vista, the south cumberland community fund, and the university of the south (sewanee). each of our positions offers the unique opportunity to work in a rural, historically, and economically depressed region of tennessee. our positions serve a variety of community organizations with grant writing and fundraising, volunteer recruitment, and developing and implementing systems that build an organization's capacity to operate more effectively. this vista program is team focused, providing group programming, support, and social opportunities for each vista. make a dif
