projeto realizado por meio da organização de debates competitivos entre estudantes da escola de governo. seu objetivo é o desenvolvimento da capacidade de pesquisa, retórica e argumentação como forma de ampliar a reflexão, a troca de informações e o respeito por diferentes posicionamentos. o projeto coloca em pauta debates preferencialmente relacionados às políticas públicas e temas de relevância para a sociedade contemporânea. utiliza-se das diretrizes do instituto brasileiro de debates. a sociedade de debates da fundação joão pinheiro – sdjp – surgiu em 2015 com o objetivo de difundir a cultura de debates na escola de governo e integrar seus estudantes no cenário nacional, que cresce de forma significativa no âmbito do modelo british parliament. os alunos reúnem-se periodicamente e realizam debates sobre temas relevantes para a sociedade contemporânea, preferencialmente relacionados às políticas públicas.
