Society of Government Meeting Professionals - Sacramento Chapter

sgmp- sacramento chapter is the only national organization in the united states dedicated exclusively to improving knowledge and expertise of individuals in the planning and execution of government meetings through education, resources, and industry relationships. sgmp is managed by a national board of directors and affiliate chapters conduct regular meetings in their respective areas chartered in 1988 with 37 members, the sacramento chapter is now the third largest in the organization’s 25+ chapters. within the chapter’s active membership base of 130+, many hold industry accreditation's including cmp, chsp, chme, ctp, and cgmp. in addition we have several national award winners, and two chapter members that have held the title of national president. represented in sgmp's membership are employees of federal, state, county and city government, associations of governmental employees and government agencies, and suppliers (hoteliers, cvb’s, cva’s, airlines, etc.). sgmp sought to
