founded in 1915, kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time. for over 50 years, the kiwanis club of silicon hills has served the greater austin, texas community. our recent projects include: --anti-bullying programs, weekly classroom reading, teacher of the year and teacher of promise recognition, support to the pta to encourage attendance, funding for music programs and much more at pecan springs elementary and winn elementary --bring up grades (bug) and terrific kids programs in elementary schools --providing christmas and thanksgiving meals and gifts to elementary school children --volunteer support to the children's miracle network --sponsorship of builders club at austin achieve public school --sponsorship of key clubs at manor new tech high school, cedars international next generation high school, mccallum high school, glenn high school, rouse high school, vandegrift high school, and nyos charter schoo
