St Luke's College of Nursing and Midwifery

st. luke catholic hospital and college of nursing and midwifery is situated in wolisso town, the capital of the south west shoa zone, oromia regional state. the hospital and college are owned by the ethiopian catholic church. the hospital began services on january 1st, 2001. there are now 200 beds in use for medical (35), surgical (24), pediatric (65), neonatal unit (6), ophthalmology, orthopedics (32), maternity (24) and gynecology (14). the hospital provides an outpatient department, antenatal and under five clinics, public health department with outreach services. it is run by the sisters of daughters of mary immaculate and fathers of missionaries of mary immaculate. the college of nursing and midwifery of st. luke hospital makes a significant contribution for mothers to be to have better access to professional maternal health services and to prevent childbirth complications.
