the social cognition & behavior lab at gcu investigates the role of social identity and group processes in human motivation, cognition, attitudes, and behavior. we are interested in exploring the interplay between individual and group identity, including gender, religion, ethnicity, and nationality, through experimental research. the lab will meet weekly to discuss publications, develop research projects, refine research materials, analyze results, and present findings. doctoral students who actively participate in the research (from idea development to publication) will have the opportunity to serve as co-authors in the resulting publications. the social cognition & behavior lab is led by dr. elizabeth parks-stamm, assistant professor in the college of doctoral studies, and managed by jeremy pollack, gcu doctoral candidate in performance psychology. for questions, please email the lab manager at jpollack@my.gcu.edu.
