the social democrats the social democrats were set up by stephen donnelly, catherine murphy & róisín shortall to move ireland towards a “nordic model” of society that ensures dignity and opportunity for all its citizens. we would do this through a commitment to high-quality public services, running an open, transparent and accountable government and powering our society with a strong sustainable economy that creates secure jobs. niall ó tuathail niall has the kind of experience that galway needs in the dáil to make the social democrats vision for ireland happen. he has worked on healthcare reform in the nhs in england. he has worked on building power plants and transport facilities all over the world. he also runs his own software design business in galway. he previously ran stephen donnelly td’s canvassing in 2011, and the yes equality galway campaign.
