social dish is an annual event that brings together the pittsburgh area's leading locally-owned restaurants and bars to inspire creativity and passion. each establishment will create a unique off-menu appetizer to enter into the competition that follows certain guidelines involving portion size, included ingredients, and maximum price limits. however, this is not the traditional food competition that you have seen in the past. our competition does not require you to prepare any food ahead of time, to haul to a location of our choosing, nor do we require participants to pay a fee and show up on a specific day of the year. our event is a very versatile and non-demanding. in the spirit of "social dining," social dish has created this competition to bring people together to dine on a unique, creative dish that will spark conversation among the people, all while enjoying the atmosphere and experience of each establishment. our mission at social dish is to show the diversity and quality of f
