social diversity for children foundation's vision is to eliminate the stigma on disabilities one friendship at a time. its mission is two-fold: to equip youth leaders with the skills and resources to educate their own communities about the importance of diversity and discussion; and, to provide social learning programs in which children with disabilities and children without disabilities can bond on an interpersonal level. for sdc, it's all about empowering youth to empower children with disabilities. that is, we provide youth training workshops to teach youth about disability justice and run art and music therapy programs that connect children with disabilities with socially informed youth who are accepting and understanding. the diverse friendships that come out of these peer-to-peer interactions enable us to make a real difference in the world.
