social entrepreneurs for sustainable development (sesdev) social entrepreneurs for sustainable development (sesdev) is a local non-governmental organisation founded in 2009 that works on issues relating to natural resources governance. we work to monitor the impacts of resource extraction on human rights and the environment. sesdev works with rural communities that are directly impacted by logging, palm oil plantations and mining extractions. through community education and awareness raising activities, we support communities to engage with duty bearers and the companies concerned to promote and defend their rights and interests. sesdev is also involved with building capacity and providing support to forest communitiy structures to enable their sustained engagement with multinational corporations whose operation pose threats to their environment, livelihoods and survival. goal: our goal is to support development models which promote social, economic and environmental justice partic
