social finance india is a nonprofit organization dedicated to catalyzing capital for social progress. we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive, and that social impact financing plays a critical role in addressing india's most pressing social challenges. our work is geared towards enabling india to meet un sdg goals. core to our work is the development of social impact bonds and development impact bonds in the indian context. an innovative funding model, impact bonds help to measurably improve the lives of people in need by driving resources toward better, more effective programs at scale. we are developing and launching three funds to better channel resources to social programming: the india education outcomes fund, the india impact fund and the sustainable development goal outcome fund. our sister organization, social finance uk, was founded in 2007 and launched the world’s first social impact bond in 2010.
