Social Imagination

social imagination is a non-profit organization dedicated to researching, documenting and communicating how social policies, past and present, impact the lives of individuals and communities by shaping the possibilities and choices available to them. our aim is three-fold: to illuminate systemic inequities embedded in legal, economic, political and social institutions; to conceive of policies that challenge and correct systemic inequities; and to facilitate the deployment of equitable policies at the local, state and federal levels. working at the intersection of social theory, public policy, and community advocacy, social imagination provides a range of consulting services to pro-social organizations in the us and abroad. our organizational approach is grounded in a rigorous theoretical and historical analysis of social rights and interests. heidi jugenitz is the founder and director of this organization.
