social impact institute-africa is a social enterprise exists in order to make a positive difference in kenya and beyond. we do this by stimulating the growth of the micro and small business sector that can make an impact in rural communities. our vision 'to transform livelihoods in kenya one county at a time and in africa, one country at a time'​ arises from the belief that no one is fully empowered unless they have the ability to generate the money they need to become self-reliant. we see community forest associations and forest based enterprises (especially community based projects) as the ideal vehicle for the sustainable empowerment of people. we give preference to smallholder farmers, enterprises benefiting women and youth, rural communities living adjacent to forests, high poverty nodes and enterprises that have a high impact in terms of job creation. as a social enterprise, our dream is to unlock africa's potential by using our own talents, experience and collective energy to de
