the social innovation unit is a new concept in improving peoples lives. it's new because it's based on the ideas that people have about improving their own lives. it's effective because people, everyday, normal people, people that use services - what ever those services are, have good ideas about improving those services all the time. the social innovation unit helps councils/public sector bodies, and the voluntary sector to deliver better services, for less, to people in rural areas. with sparse populations, lack of transport and hidden poverty, in the midst of a recession, it’s really difficult to deliver good services to people in rural areas, that are relying on you for them we solve that problem for you.
