social science junk shop is located in the heart of downtown tucson, az. the store is an experiment in capitalism and american culture. our challenge is to provide the most amazing, inspiring, functional and affordable furniture, decor, and apparel... without the use of modern production. no factories. no sweatshops. just the best 'stuff' that already exists. we are passionate about uncovering, discovering, repurposing, restoring and returning objects to the cycle of life. our inventory range includes the following styles: mid-century, danish modern, space age, art deco, machine age, shabby chic, retro pop, funky junky, industrial... and everyone's new favorite: mad men era. we are not really a store. we are simply a conduit between the objects we find and the people who will love them.
