social india craft (sic), is a not-for-profit organization, works at the grassroots level for the sustainable development of craft artisans and their communities. with an aim to foster socio-economic empowerment, sic mobilizes craft artisan communities into ‘microenterprises’. sic focuses on urbanizing handicrafts including non-mainstream art-forms. the organization currently works with craft artisans spread across six different states – rajasthan, delhi, haryana, gujrat, punjab, and uttar pradesh – to develop handcrafted lifestyle utilities. sic is non-profit livelihood based organisations and artisans to build their ability to create marketable products, meet market standards and earn a secure livelihood. our purpose is to ensure that small producers do not get excluded from mainstream markets because of their inability to afford professional inputs in the deployment of appropriate technology, new product development, quality assurance, packaging, certification & branding. the core
