socialize is a proximity-based networking app, which uses bluetooth technology to display information about other app users in the vicinity, such as their name, job title, job sector, and photo. socialize works to optimize a user’s networking time by connecting them to other nearby users according to their personalized goals, allowing networkers to discover mutually beneficial connections, and to expand their professional or academic horizons. the idea for socialize came about from the common social issue of forgetting someone’s name shortly after meeting them, but has since shown potential to streamline the physical networking experience.
