Society Empowerment Project - Kenya

a community based organization focused on empowering youth and promoting community development in the rural town of oyugis and in homabay county of kenya. this region has been hit hard by the hiv/aids pandemic and faces high rates of poverty, tenuous food security, and limited educational opportunities. sep addresses societal issues like *sexual reproductive health & hiv/aids *menstrual hygiene management *mental health *gender based violence *food insecurity sep is addressing these critical issues through two unique approaches: youth developmental football and youth self-help agriculture. relying on income from self help activities, donations and donor funds, sep is able to achieve its vision and mission for the community.
