the society for translational oncology (sto) is a professional association committed to speeding the discovery and translation of important new treatments in the field of cancer medicine to the practice of global oncology by: * bringing knowledge and strategies for critical new developments in cancer treatment into the practice environment of the community oncologist; * bridging the “translational gap” between discovery and delivery of care to the patient; * providing educational activities to improve physician competencies and strategies for screening, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and -management of patients with cancer. the society for translational oncology is accredited by the accreditation council for continuing medical education (accme®) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. sto's official journal is the oncologist, a premier peer-reviewed oncology journal. sto is tax-exempt as a 501(c)(3) foundation (ein: 20-3186261). for more information, send email to ad
