Society for Vascular Nursing (Svn)

the society for vascular nursing (svn) was established in 1982, to promote excellence in care of the patient with vascular disease. to accomplish this goal svn provides its members with quality educational opportunities, collaborative relationships that foster clinical experience, and promotes research and evidence-based practices. svn members represent a wide scope of nursing and advanced practice nursing experience. members practice vascular patient care at the bedside in acute care settings, in operating rooms, in clinics, functioning as staff nurses, advanced practice nurses, educators, and researchers. forty six percent of svn members are educationally prepared at the baccalaureate level or higher; sixty four percent of these hold masters degrees with eight percent prepared at the doctoral level.
