Society of Gender Professionals

gender specialists are called upon around the world to work with policymakers, governmental departments, non-profits, and private sector companies on a range of activities from gender mainstreaming and integration to program design, research and evaluation, policy analysis, and organizational auditing. gender specialists are expected to understand and apply feminist theoretical frameworks and methodologies to a range of technical sectors, such as education, agriculture, infrastructure, nutrition, and economics. while a number of professional organizations exist within key technical sectors in which gender specialists work, and many of these include sub-groups that focus on gender or feminist praxis, no cross-cutting association currently exists to professionalize the gender field and meet the needs of a growing group of gender specialists across sectors and around the world. the society of gender professionals (sgp) aims to fill this gap. we are a non-profit organization of gender prac
