socg is a student organization from texas tech university that involves all the undergraduate majors that are related to the oil & gas industry; from business administration and law, to engineering and other sciences. our main goal is to complement and further the technical knowledge of our members by involving them with the legal, business, and economic side of the o&g industry; as well as integrating them in numerous community service projects that will undoubtedly make lubbock, tx a better place. socg's priority is to form students with a well-rounded knowledge of the industry, not only within their technical preparation but also with well-established core values, that will help them make a difference in the world
